Visiting Daddy - Ugh!

We went downtown to visit Daddy today. We've done this before and it's a fun little trip: ride on the El, see Daddy's office, play at Millennium Park... usually. Today was a disaster. Sophie FAH-LIPPED out on the train. Like, crying, covering her ears, closing her eyes, begging to get off kind of flip out. She kept asking me to call the conductor to tell him to go slower. She was covered with sweat when we finally got off. Not fun for any of us.

The girls liked seeing the lake from Daddy's office but Sophie didn't like the walk over to the park. Sophie refused to eat her lunch. And she wouldn't play in the Faces fountain. Clara waded in for about 4 seconds and then she was just upset that she didn't have her swimsuit and wouldn't go in without it.

The Bean, at least, was a success, once we got Sophie to walk up there. Unfortunately, we had to walk back to the train and then actually ride it. This time I was smart enough to get out my iphone and turn on Dragon Tales - that helped, but not much. Eventually, we did make it home but I am not eager to do that again.
