We finished swimming lessons today. Clara was in parent-tot and Sophie was in her own class.
Clara LOVED her class. She would just do her evil giggle and bounce. She had so much fun. She wasn't so much about following the teacher but more about playing with the rubber duckies and octopi. And she got really brave. She would actually jump of the edge into our arms and even got comfortable going under water.Sophie's class was a success too, in its own way. At her first class, it took me at least half the class to even get her to go in the pool with the teacher. But over the last several weeks, she got much braver. She put her hair under water. She practiced kicking while holding onto the wall. And she learned how to "monster paddle" and back paddle.
She got this evaluation today. See at the top where the teacher could pass her or not? See how she didn't pass? Yeah... so we need some more work. But the teacher did have some nice things to say in the comments. And Sophie was so proud to get a certificate. She felt like she did a great job in her swimming lessons. And you know what? I agree! I'm so proud of her and the progress she made. That's the best I can ask for.
