Thanks to some expiring groupons, we had a wonderful Saturday in the real burbs.
We went to the Morton Arboretum. We played in the Children's Garden mostly although Nate was itching to be biking through the woods instead of having a tea party on an acorn table.
We thought we were prepared to beat the heat - we went early, applied sunscreen, brought tons of water and wore our sunglasses. None of that helped.
At least the flowers were pretty.
For lunch, we went to the All Aboard Diner. So cute!
The girls loved seeing their food delivered by train.
It was way too hot to cook dinner, so after naps/movies in the A/C we headed to Flat Top for dinner where Clara mastered eating with chopsticks. Success!
