We moved Sophie into her big girl bed about a week ago. Like all of our major life decisions, we think and think and think and then when we finally decide, we act fast! So we decided a day or two after our trip to Galena (where Sophie did great in a real bed) that she was ready. At 7:00 at night. So with less than an hour before bedtime, we scrambled to get the new bed set up in Sophie's room (and Clara's room rearranged since the twin bed had been in there). We left Sophie's crib up in her room and gave her a choice - crib or bed. She picked bed and has not looked back. The transition went so smoothly! She took right to it and we have had no problems at all. She even sits in her bed and waits for us to come get her in the morning and after her nap. It hasn't even occurred to her that she can leave the bed without help, let alone the room. This kid is a breeze! How lucky are we?
