We thought that Sophie was old enough this year to appreciate carving pumpkins. You know, that she'd get a kick out of scraping out the goop inside, helping us carve them, have ideas for the faces, etc. Um, not so much. Below is about the extent of Sophie's help - she got bored with the whole thing pretty quickly. She did however love her Big Bird pumpkin and it's a good thing she did because Nate spend A LOT of time carving it for her. I was much lazier.
I tried to get Clara involved, but she did not appreciate my attempt to stuff her into a hollowed out pumpkin (I'm not kidding - I really tried and she really didn't approve):
