In an act of either bravery or insanity, we actually threw a friends' party for Sophie less than three weeks after having a new baby. But it was a riot! And luckily we had my mom here to help - and we SERIOUSLY could not have pulled it off without her. She was such a HUGE help! We had 8 or 9 kids (and their parents) over to play in our backyard with the kiddie pool, the water table and our little tent. It was fun but a little crazy. Sophie, again, told us she was going to "be shy" but completely warmed up once her friends arrived. The cupcakes were a big hit too. Sophie (with Chloe's help) used the frosting like "shaving cream" and lathered up her arms.

You may have noticed that Little Miss S. has a little bit of a bonk on her face. What happened, you ask? As we were getting ready for the party Friday night, Sopie was climbing on the cooler we were going to put drinks in. She took a nose dive off of it directly onto our brick pavers. It was horrible!!! She had a gigantic goose egg on her forehead and scrapes from her forehead to her lip. She was fine after some Dora and a popsicle but I think Nate and I are still traumatized.
