Happy Easter

Our Easter weekend started yesterday with some egg decorating on the back porch.
Can I get a woot woot for finally getting some spring-like weather?
The finished product.

This morning, Sophie woke up early because she was "super duper excited" for the Easter Bunny to come. We told her we had to wait until Clara woke up to go downstairs. And what does Clara do? Sleep past nine! So we caved and let Sophie get to her basket while we waited for Clara.
Sophie was mostly excited about her candy - she actually said, "I'm going to get all sugared up!"
She also loved her new Easter dress, specifically how well she could curtsey in it.
Madam wouldn't want to get sun in her eyes while out in nature.
We took too long getting to the egg hunt in the backyard - the squirrels figured out how to open the eggs.
Clara wasn't quite awake enough to really enjoy the egg hunt in the backyard so she did her Sophie impression once we got inside.
How cute is she? She was begging to go in the sandbox, dress and all. Um, no.
Don't you do yoga in the backyard on Easter?
(Notice the fabric tape measure attached to her head? She wears that around all the time now so she can be an authentic Rapunzel. She throws it over the banister and tries to tie it to our sconces so that she can swing down and everything. And she flips out if you step on it or pull it out or if Darcy chases it which he is wont to do. It's to the point that if Sophie even sees Darcy, she says, "Darcy, no!")
Once Clara put together the bunny-egg-Easter thing, she wanted to do her bunny hop dance. I don't think you can hear the lyrics, but at the end they say, "wiggle your ears, wiggle your nose, wiggle your paws, wiggle your cottontail..."
Sophie and I made these nest cookies - how homemakery of me! Don't be fooled - they were super duper easy.
We ended our day by having Dave and Sarah over for our traditional leftover spaghetti and meatball feast. All praise his noodly appendage. Ramen.
