We moved Sophie into her "Big Sister Room" tonight to get her old room re-ready for baby #2. We've been gearing up for it for weeks. We got it painted a girly lavender color (coincidentally, about the color it was before we moved in and repainted it).
We got new furniture - dresser, bookcase and kid sized table with rolling bins underneath. We moved her toys, books and clothes in there.
We even bought her a Dora couch to bribe her into thinking this is a fun room. Best fifty bucks we ever spent - she goes ape shit for this thing every time she sees it. We've been spending a lot of time playing in there the last few weeks so that she would be used to the room when we finally moved her crib over. And tonight was the night. It's a little bittersweet for me but Sophie seemed really excited about her new room and so far she is quiet in there. Send good vibes that she'll make it through the night tonight.
