1. You can sit up! Yeah! And you are really good at it. I can leave you alone for maybe 15 minutes without you toppling over. Although you are not so good at it that you never fall so you still need something soft behind you, just in case.
2. This makes bathtime a lot easier. You can sit in there and chew on the foam toys and then you don't care what we are doing to you. You've never really gotten a huge thrill out of the bath but you've never really minded it so it doesn't really matter. You are just easier to reach now. 3. You love love love to play with (read: chew on) pens and spoons. You like simple things and if you have one of those in your mouth, you are very happy and entertained. You also love the lampshade in your room for some reason but I don't let you play with it since you have burned your hand twice on the light bulb.
4. We have started you in music class, just like we did with Sophie. You've been tagging along to Sophie's classes since you were about 6 weeks old but now you are in your own class. You seem to really like it, especially chewing on the rhythm sticks. Your little friend Jonathan (and mommy's friend Katie) takes it with us.
6. You've learned to make raspberries with your mouth. You think it's especially funny and/or ticklish to do it with your binky in.
8. You have a thing for mouths, as in your little hands are always attacking our mouths. You want to just hang out with your fingers in my mouth and if I don't let you, you grab my nostrils and scratch my nose. It hurts! And you've drawn blood twice.
10. You are big enough and sturdy enough that we can put you in a high chair at a restaurant. You get a kick out of being at the table with us and just drum your spoon on the table, kick your legs and smile. It's so cute but makes me a little sad too because how are you so big already???
