Poster Child

Clara just had her 15mo. check-up (almost a month late) and she nailed it! Everything the doctor asked, about, she was kicking ass on.

Dr. C: Is she walking?
Me: Yep, and running and climbing and even doing stairs.

Dr. C: What about her fine motor skills?
Me: She LOVES to draw, can do puzzles and has mastered getting her straw in and out of her juice box.

Dr. C: What about eating?
Me: She's still eating a pretty good variety and can feed herself, using a fork and a spoon. (A spoon!)

Dr. C: And has she said a few words?
Me: Um, we've completely lost track of how many words she can say. And she's speaking in 2-3 word sentences.

Dr. C: Wow! I can't find a chink in her armor. She is like the poster child for 15 month olds!

And then he pointed out her measurements where she is exactly on the 50th percentile for both height and weight, and has been her whole life. Poster child, indeed.
(stats: 30.75inches and 23lbs)

Oh, and the picture? Sophie came with us and she decided that her two main jobs were to comfort Clara when she got her shots ("It's ok, Clara. Don't worry. I'm here.") and to take pictures of Clara. And she made sure to bring her own little pink camera to do the job properly.
