Clara at 7 Months

1. You can clap! It isn't always palm to palm, but you can definitely smack your hands together in excitement. You bang toys together now too.
2. You love to drum. You are always banging on something, like your bumbo seat or your high chair.
3. You have started to say recognizable sounds now. It started with "da da" much to your dad's delight and has evolved to "ba ba" and even some "ga ga".
4. You eat your bib almost every time we feed you. You also love to eat dish cloths or wave them around. You've started to love peekaboo too with said dishcloths, your scarf from music class or whatever else.
5. You are a really mellow baby. You never fuss when you are hungry. You don't seem bored ever. You get a little crabby if you are tired but don't cry until you are overtired (or in the middle of the night since we are still fighting epic sleeping through the night battles). Nothing really fazes you. Unless we take something away from you. You are not pleased if we take a toy or a snack out of your hand. In fact, you are pretty inconsolable until we give it back.
6. You love the bath tub. You get so excited when we put you in there. We sit you down, you stick a foam toy in your mouth and then you splash. You get both your arms going so much that you splash yourself in the mouth, choke a little bit and then start all over. It's hysterical to watch.
7. You can get your binky back in your mouth all by yourself now. That definitely helps at night.
8. You are at that stage where you want to be standing up all the time. You arch out of my arms if I hold you sitting in my lap. I think it's so funny that you are so good at sitting and are working so hard at learning how to stand and yet you don't roll over. I mean, you have a handful of times but you don't do it regularly.
9. When you wake up in the morning or when you are just playing in your bed (the pack-n-play still since we thought your sister would be out of the crib by now), you flip your legs up and down which sets the mattress of the pack-n-play swinging. If you are sitting in there, you bounce your little bum up and down to get the same effect. It's a really fun game for you.
10. You are a side sleeper. When I lay you down, you immediately roll to your left side and stay there.

And just for kicks:
